Bottomsection of the framework still needs cleaned and painted, it's a PITA job.
Also bought a retractable steps, wherefore i welded some studs to the framework.
And this mont i've made 2 new wheelarches. They are made from old aluminium sheet from this very caravan. I changed the construction a little, so water won't creep between the floor and framework anymore.
Construction is a little difficult , the arches are made out of 3 aluminium panels which are seamed together but with a little patience it's doable without any special tools. (just hand tools)
As mentioned i've changed the construction of the wheelarches as shown in the drawings beneath.

Inbetween i've welded some studs on the frame behind the axle, in case i want to mount mudflaps (you never know)
End March, the frame is ready !!
Collected the wood for the floor at the hardware store, and built the floor in the workshop. The floor is constructed from a layer of 3.6 mm plywood, with 20 mm tempex on top and a slatted structure and a layer of 9 mm plywood on top of it. The floor is built in 3 parts, and then placed in the caravan through the hole in the roof. The first part is 220 * 192 cm (up to the wheel arches), the second part is 242 * 192 cm (wheel arches to the slanting rear part) and the third part is 52 * 192 cm (slanting part). This requires 4 sheets of plywood and plywood of 122 * 244 and 80 meters of lath. First, I made the plywood sheets to size and placed them in the caravan, so that it fits exactly. Then I copied the plywood plates on the plywood. A plywood of 18 * 20 mm was then made on the plywood between which the insulation material would be placed. The slats extend over the full width and are located 15 cm apart in the area where people walk. At the place where the bed comes and at the very back, the slats are 20 cm apart, because the floor is less heavily loaded here. These slats will also be around. The slats are attached to the plywood with glue and screws. The tempex was then cut to size and placed between the framework, after which the plywood was placed on the structure, again with glue and screws. This sandwich construction is treated with lead-free menie on the ends and the plywood bottom is stained. There is a layer of transparent stain on the top, so that the plywood does not get too dirty during the construction of the caravan. The floor has almost 800 screws.
Out of curiosity i've put the whole framwork on a scale, the frame weighs 110kg including the paintwork.
Also the floor went on the scale, both big sections weighing 32,5 kg each and the tale piece is 8 kg, making a total of 73kg for the floor.
